Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul have issued fierce knockout warnings ahead of their £100m heavyweight bout scheduled for December 19 in Miami.
Joshua, returning to the ring for the first time since his knockout defeat to Daniel Dubois, vowed to “break” Paul during their face-off. Despite the size gap, with Joshua standing 6’6″ and Paul 6’1″, the American insisted he was “ready to die in the ring” to win.
The eight-round fight, set to stream on Netflix, has drawn huge attention due to the gulf in experience. Joshua (28-4, 25 KOs) is training with Oleksandr Usyk’s team after parting ways with coach Ben Davison, while Paul (12-1, 7 KOs) believes speed and discipline will give him a chance.
Joshua must weigh no more than 245 pounds, with Paul targeting 215–225.
Paul has teased a future fight with Tyson Fury, but Joshua’s team says the focus remains on victory and a major 2026 campaign.
