The Registrar of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), Professor Ishaq Oloyede, was overcome with emotion on Wednesday as he publicly apologised for the errors that occurred during the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
“I apologise for the trauma caused the candidates,” Oloyede said, holding back tears at a press conference held in Abuja.
At the start of the briefing, the registrar admitted to “one or two errors” in the conduct of this year’s UTME, expressing deep regret over the impact on affected candidates.
