Super Eagles of Nigeria forward, Ademola Lookman has been honored as the 2024 African Player of the Year at the prestigious Confederation of African Football (CAF) Awards. The ceremony, held in Marrakech, Morocco, celebrated the best in African football.

Lookman, who plays for Atalanta in Serie A, enjoyed an extraordinary year marked by his dazzling performances, blistering pace, and remarkable finishing ability. His contributions were pivotal in Atalanta’s successes and Nigeria’s qualification for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.

The talented forward’s stellar displays included crucial goals in the UEFA Europa League and consistent brilliance in domestic competitions, cementing his reputation as one of Africa’s top football stars. Lookman edged out tough competition from Morocco’s Achraf Hakimi, Ivory Coast’s Simon Adingra, Guinea’s Serhou Guirassy, and South Africa’s Ronwen Williams to claim the prestigious award.
