Brian Chkuwuebuka Chiji popularly known as “Bryann” is one of the favourites to win season seven of Big Brother Naija (Level Up).
The 24-year-old singer and songwriter from Imo State is a leading contender for the for the N100 million grand prize based on the way he has been able to warm his way into the hearts of viewers across Nigeria.
From the beginning when he walked into the house, viewers recognized that he is a real one. The icing on the cake was when he spoke about his music career and how a celebrity used a bouncer to chase him and his mother way from his place. That moment made viewers have sympathy for him.
However, with Bryann it must be stated that it isn’t sympathy that is working for him. He is talented and smart. Whenever he talks you know that he is not pretending. What you see is what you get. He has kept it 100 with the viewers and most of them based on many online polls seem to choose him as their favourite.
Bryann counts Wande Coal, Vybz Cartel and Angelique Kidjo as some of his musical influences. He started releasing music in 2019, and finally put out a full-length project in 2021.
Although down-to-earth and sometimes reserved, Bryann enjoys meeting new people, partying and watching movies. “I would call myself an extravert; which is a mix of both an introvert and an extrovert. I have random bursts of energy and I have low-energy days, but I understand how to navigate people in either of these situations,” he says.
Bryann is at his happiest when he is being creative Big Brother Naija has given him the platform to interact with people, raise his social currency and also create awareness about his music.
