A former Kogi State governorship aspirant, Prince Yahaya Audu has congratulated state executives and zonal leaders of the All Progressives Congress, APC in Kogi State after the peaceful conduct of the congress on Saturday.
The APC, in the state returned almost all its
executives for a second term through a consensus at Saturday’s state congress held at the Confluence Stadium, Lokoja.
The party had on Friday decided to adopt the affirmation pattern to elect its state executives and party zonal leaders.
While commending the members of the party for the peaceful process,
Audu expressed optimism that his party, the APC will coast to victory in the 2023 general elections.
Audu who is from Kogi East, had special praises for the APC East zonal chairman, Hon. Muhammad Alfa Nasiru who got elected.
He described the new leader as a round peg in a round hole whose election is going to add immense value to the fortunes of the party in the nearest future.
Prince Yahaya Audu also hailed the Kogi State APC Chairman, Alhaji Abdullahi Bello for his stewardship over the years and urged him not to relent on his efforts.
The congress was conducted by the committee members from the Abuja National Office of the APC in a hitch-free atmosphere and was well attended by all APC members serving at the National Assembly from the state, while representatives of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, observed the exercise.
