Coronavirus: Nigerians hail Pastor Adeboye for soothing words

Nigerians have praised Pastor Enoch Adeboye, General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) for giving message of hope about coronavirus earlier today. They also praised him for his calmness while delivering his message.

The pastor during his service this Sunday, April 19, thanked health personnel and the government for the effort made told Nigerians that it will recede soon and life will gradually go back to normal.

Since the lockdown in Nigeria, many church leaders, including Mr Adeboye, whose church headquarters is in Ogun, one of the states under a federal government-initiated lockdown, have held online services with their members since public gatherings have equally been banned.

Nigerians who are tired of bad news found hope in Adeboye’s message. They said that the man of God is always calm whenever he gives his sermons. They took Twitter, to praise him.

They noted that Adeboye was also calm and reassuring while talking about the coronavirus pandemic.

Christain Ozor with handle with Twitter handle @Ozorchrist wrote: “Truth be told, Pastor Adeboye’s message this morning was refreshing, heart lifting and encouraging. I believe in God.”

Ayo Sam with handle @duayosam tweeted “Can Pastor Adeboye speak to us every morning? We need someone to tell us soothing words after NCDC scares us every night.”

Ifeanyi Michael with handle @Ifeanyimic said “I am not a member of RCCG but Pastor Adeboye is a man of God I stan. God bless you Sir.”

Pastor Adeboye stated that he would like to suggest that the government includes Imams and pastors in all their committees for the spiritual aspect. The pastor said the coronavirus pandemic would recede but it would not disappear completely. He said the same happened with the flu and Ebola.
