Prime Minister of Australia Scott Morrison has said that for majority of the people, coronavirus is not a big problem.
In a press briefing on Thursday, he said “For the vast majority, around eight in ten is our advice, it will be a mild illness and it will pass.”
He urged health experts to focus more on old people and those with underlying health conditions.
“However, for older Australians and those who are more vulnerable, particularly those in remote communities and those with pre-existing health conditions, it is a far more serious virus and that is our concern. Our aim in all of this is to protect the most vulnerable, the most at risk,” he posited.
So far in Australia, there are 1,072 cases, seven people have died while 48 people have recovered.
