The Board of Directors of Transnational Corporation of Nigeria Plc (“Transcorp Plc”) has approved the appointment of Mrs. Owen Omogiafo as President and Group CEO of Transcorp, Nigeria’s leading industrial holding company, whose interests include Transcorp Power, Transcorp Hotels and significant upstream oil and gas business.
The appointmnent takes effect from March 25.
She took to her official Instagram page with handle @Owenomogiafo to give thanks and also congratulate other appointees. “It’s been God’s grace all the way. I congratulate Chris Ezeafulukwe and Dupe Olusola for their appointments as MD/CEO of Transcorp Power and Transcorp Hotels respectively. I also congratulate Okaima Ohizua and Helen Iwuchukwu on their appointments as Chief Operating Officers too.”

Before her recent appointment, she was an Executive Director of Transcorp Plc, a position she held since July 1, 2018.
Mrs. Omogiafo has a Bachelors degree in Sociology & Anthropology from the University of Benin (2nd Class Hors. Upper Division) and an M.Sc. in Human Resource Management from the London School of Economics and Political Science. She is also a certified Change Manager and a member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development, UK.
Before Transcorp, Mrs. Omogiafo was the Chief Operating Officer of the Tony Elumelu Foundation. Her work experience includes Director of Human Resources, Chief of Staff, HR Advisor to the GMD/CEO at UBA and as an Organisation and Human Performance Consultant at Accenture.
