Meet Mr. Ramon Olarenwaju Nasir, the Head of External Relations of the United Bank for Africa (UBA). He is a quintessential public relations guru and, undoubtedly, one of the men who make Nigeria’s leading bank, UBA tick.
He holds a position that is often crucial for maintaining the bank’s reputation and managing its public image. For many years, he has played a critical role in managing the bank’s relationships with various external stakeholders, including government agencies, regulators, industry associations, media, investors, and the general public.
As an image maker, every newsroom is his home and every journalist is his friend. From the cub reporters to the editors, Nasir Ramon is well-known.
He is at home with everyone that’s involved in the media business. At events, one moment he is seen exchanging pleasantries photographers, the next moment he is seated next to MDs and publishers. He is a household name as far as the mainstream media is concerned.
Nasir bagged a First-Class degree in International Relations and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Osun State. He also has a master’s degree in Media/Marketing, and Communication from Pan Atlantic University.
