Armed robbers have reportedly launched an attack on two commercial banks in Anyigba, Dekina Local Government Area of Kogi State.
According to an eyewitness, armed robbers raided two banks, killed two policemen in Anyigba, and stormed First and Access banks, where they carted away yet-to-be-ascertained sums of money.
The robbery operation was said to have started around 5 pm. when they stormed the two banks and started shooting to ease their escape after stealing an unspecified sum of money.
It was gathered that operatives of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps engaged them in exchange of gunfire.
